Must be able to effectively make decisions, solve problems and interpret data.
Must be detail oriented, RELIABLE – has to show up every day on time and ready to work, basic computer skills / Microsoft office, forklift experience a plus.
· Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures: hot in the summer months and cold during the winter months.
· May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
· Schedule & dispatch jobs and crews on a daily basis.
· Assist in preparation for moves; provide packing materials, etc.
· Assist in coordination of warehouse operations, manpower, inbound & out bound household goods, inbound out & bound freight. Communicate with warehouse manager.
· Conduct pre and post inspections on trucks.
· May assist with orders for warehouse supplies, packing material, ice melt, tools, etc.
· Assist to maintain facility.
· Assist in scheduling maintenance and repairs for fork lifts and other warehouse equipment.
· Maintain local fleet, repairs, schedule maintenance.
· Schedule repairs and maintenance of scale.
· Scale: weigh items on trucks, print tickets and collect money for use of scale if not our driver.
· Coordinate, manage, schedule distribution projects.
· Create excel spread sheets for tracking distribution projects and billing.
· Assist with safety initiatives in operations.
· All other duties as assigned.
The Dispatch/Operations Coordinator role is required to coordinate the local crew and operations department and facilitate daily scheduled jobs. This position reports to the General Manager.
