Dishwasher/Steward- Full Time
$17/Hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Operate dishwashing equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Sweep and mop floors and clean work surfaces as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating supplies and deliveries.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to management.
- Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid conditions.
