The Dishwasher at Lynora’s is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and dish area. This role plays a critical part in supporting overall kitchen operations by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and available for service. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen utensils efficiently and safely
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish pit, kitchen floors, mats, sinks, and surrounding work areas
Properly operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment
Ensure all cleaned items are properly stored and organized for kitchen and service use
Remove trash, recycling, and kitchen waste throughout shifts as needed
Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, walls, walk-ins, storage areas, and prep spaces
Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks during service
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries when necessary
Maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies and notify management of shortages

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely

Ability to work in hot, wet, and physically demanding conditions
Ability to safely operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
