JOB SUMMARY: The Disaster Response Coordinator provides coordination of operations and administrative support to Alaksa Volunteers in Disaster (AKVOAD) Halong Alaska Recovery Team (HART) addressing long-term recovery needs. This role requires strong organizational and administrative skills and a heart for helping survivors of disaster. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, people‑centered, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving recovery environment. This work will primarily take place in the Southcentral area, but some support will be provided to survivors located in Bethel and Western Alaska.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a Full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or hours may vary with location. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This is an in-person position with opportunity for some remote work upon Director approval. Mandatory, in-office workdays occur at least weekly, or more, as needed.
TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, with travel to rural communities; out-of-area and overnight travel is required. This may include transportation by small aircraft and alternative ground transportation.
