The Disability Resource Professional and Learning Specialist supports students' academic, personal, and interpersonal needs, ensuring an inclusive environment for students with disabilities. They provide learning strategies, coaching, referrals, and collaborate with campus offices to promote equitable accommodations across the MD curriculum. As a Learning Specialist, they meet with students individually or in groups to discuss learning strategies, recommend support services, and support faculty and staff in understanding disabilities and inclusive practices. The ideal candidate has experience in student advocacy, data-driven decision-making, collaboration, and effective communication.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with related experience, and the ability to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License. Preferred qualifications include experience with diverse populations and knowledge of accommodations best practices.
