Responsibilities


Offering a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 and $25,000 relocation assistance to qualified applicants (current employees are not eligible)


+ Assesses a healthcare facilitys nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes. Oversees established patient care standards and develops and implements quality improvement initiatives.

+ Provides clinical direction to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care programs. Provides complex direct patient care often in an area of specialty.

+ Provides consultative care and guidance to patients family and other members of the clinical staff.

+ Conducts research into area of specialty and uses findings to provide measurable improvements in patient care and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications


Offering a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 and $25,000 relocation assistance to qualified applicants (current employees are not eligible)


Education and Experience:


+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Masters degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g. MSN/MBA/MHA).

+ Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience and three (3) years of nurse leadership experience.


Licensure:


+ Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice.

For more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a member of the Dignity Health system and is a sister facility to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta.
