We are offering to qualified and experience candidates a sign-on bonus not to exceed 10% of salary for this position.


A fantastic opportunity for a Director of Perioperative Services for Bakersfield Memorial Hospital has just opened. In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room, PACU, and Outpatient Surgery. Develop and manage budget, resource allocation, and scheduling. Regularly assess the unit operation and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Our surgical department consists of 10 operating rooms. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including Robots. All service lines are supported, including cardiac, vascular, ortho, general surgery, and neuro.

Qualifications


Education and Experience:


+ Minimum of Ten (10) years of successful and progressive experience in a health care system or hospital, providing or directing patient care activities within surgical services. Five (5) years of leadership experience managing a variety of patient care services in a complex surgical services/healthcare environment. Experience in directing other clinical areas, working closely with physicians, and developing clinical strategies, implementing operational efforts, and measuring outcomes.

+ Master's degree in related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified) or medical degree (e.g. M.D./D.O.) with board certification in surgery or anesthesiology.


Licensure:


+ Applicable clinical degree (e.g., RN, MD, DO) in state of practice.

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds 48 licensed critical care beds 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center the Lauren Small Childrens Center including the areas only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Family Care Center a Level II NICU the Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center with Kern Countys first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics and many more services.
