Director-Support Services

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Indiana University Health-Fort Wayne leadership team in the role of Director of Support Services.

The Director-Support Services is responsible for financial management and quality service of the assigned departments including Environmental/Linen Service, Materials Management, Maintenance, Building and Grounds, Guest Relations, Safety, and Human Resources. This leader is responsible for maintaining cleaning standards, safety requirements, blood and body fluid precautions, consistent department quality standards and state, federal and local regulations. This Director implements improvements that result in quality service and facility cleanliness. This leader hires, trains and monitors work force productivity and effectiveness. This Director participates as a member of the Senior Management Team of the organization and acts as Administrator on call.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field plus 2-4 years' experience in a management or supervisory or leadership role is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable job knowledge can be acquired.
  • Master's Degree and/or Registered Dietitian with Indiana Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards and Life Safety Code are preferred.
  • Knowledge of food service safety and sanitation requirements preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
