Beacon Breaks Ground on New Memorial Hospital Patient Tower
In October 2022, Beacon Health System leaders broke ground on the new 10-story patient care tower on the campus of Memorial Hospital of South Bend. This transformational, once-in-a-generation project is designed to enrich the patient, family and visitor experience while meeting the growing healthcare needs of residents in our area for decades to come.

Summary
The Director of Supply Chain Site Operations will lead and oversee strategic and operational management of supply chain functions across Beacon Health System facilities. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant management of supply chain processes, including inventory management, distribution, logistics, and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to develop and implement supply chain strategies that support the organization''s mission and goals, ensuring the availability of necessary medical supplies and equipment to support patient care.

Strategic Leadership:

- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.

- Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, metrics, and initiatives.

- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.

- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education:
- Bachelor''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master''s degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the healthcare industry. Proven experience in strategic planning and execution. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent certification is a plus.

- Demonstrates the managerial and administrative ability necessary to direct, coordinate, and enhance the System''s supply chain reward functions.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
- Works in a healthcare environment.
- Required to travel to multiple sites.
Physical Demands
- Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed.
