Job Summary:
The Director, Stabilization Nursing Services is responsible for the clinical and operational leadership of nursing services across stabilization programs, including crisis, residential, and short-term behavioral health settings. This role ensures high-quality, safe, and compliant nursing care through oversight of workflows, staffing, regulatory adherence, and clinical practice standards. This position partners closely with program, medical, and executive leadership to optimize service delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and ensure alignment with organizational policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all nursing clinical functions, ensuring delivery of safe, evidence-based care.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all medical and medication documentation.
Review nursing incident reports; ensure appropriate follow-up, corrective action, and trend analysis.
Lead nursing contributions to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance improvement efforts.
Support implementation and sustainability of best practices in behavioral health and crisis stabilization care.
Supervisory Requirements:
Provide leadership, influence, and accountability for nursing practice across stabilization services.
Collaborate closely with program leadership, who maintain direct supervisory responsibility, to ensure alignment and performance.
Translate organizational strategy into effective nursing operations.
Foster a team-based, collaborative culture across disciplines.
Lead through influence in a matrixed environment, supporting both staff and program success.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience.
Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, crisis services, and stabilization settings strongly preferred.
Experience with multi-site or program oversight preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
• Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
• Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
• Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements:
• ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
