Position Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee Surgical Services. This role is responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and clinical performance of the department. The Director will ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource utilization while fostering a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of Surgical Services, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety
  • Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives
  • Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, performance management, and staff development
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial accountability
  • Monitor quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Serve as a mentor and leader to clinical staff, promoting professional growth and collaboration
  • Address patient concerns and ensure service excellence across the department
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery and operational efficiency
Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Day shift (starting at 7:00 AM)
  • Occasional weekends and holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Current or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Surgical Services
  • Leadership experience at the Manager or Director level
  • BLS certification upon hire
  • PALS and ACLS certifications required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree (MSN, Healthcare Administration, or MBA)
  • Strong background in clinical operations and program development
