Position SummaryThe Director of Risk Management supports the execution of TCR's risk management and insurance strategy, working closely with the Senior Director of Risk Management to ensure effective risk mitigation across development, construction, and operational activities. This role partners with leadership, legal, finance, and operational teams to help proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risk while supporting appropriate insurance coverage and cost efficiency. This role is based in our Dallas office.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the execution and administration of the company's risk management and insurance strategy across business operations, including loss prevention and safety initiativesPartner with development, construction, and operations teams to assess project-level risks and loss prevention measures, and ensure compliance with insurance and bonding requirementsManage the day-to-day procurement, negotiation, and administration of insurance programs to ensure appropriate coverage and cost optimizationSupport the strategic oversight and administration of the company's surety bonding programOversee the maintenance of property schedules, exposure data, and COPE data to support underwriting, renewals, and risk analysisManage insurance compliance processes, including contract review and ensuring third-party adherence to contractual insurance requirementsServe as a liaison with insurance brokers and carriers; support renewals, negotiate coverage, and manage claims, litigation coordination, and coverage issuesProvide guidance to internal stakeholders on risk mitigation, loss prevention, safety best practices, and insurance requirementsOversee insurance-related financial processes, including premium allocations, internal billing, and cost managementAssist in identifying emerging risks and implementing policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen the organization's overall risk management strategy, including coordination with Legal on claims, litigation, and corporate legal structure mattersDesired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably within real estate development or constructionCPCU & ARM designationsDemonstrated experience administering complex insurance programs and working with carriers and brokersStrong understanding of construction, development, and property operations risk exposuresExceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsStrong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities#J-18808-Ljbffr
