What will you do?

  • Foster an energizing, patent-developing environment that contributes to sustained business growth
  • Provide scientific guidance and resources to manufacturing, technical support, and quality teams
  • Mentor multiple managers who each lead teams of 5-10 scientists
  • Build an impactful R&D team by hiring, developing, and engaging employees to enable their growth and professional development
  • Collaborate with business leadership and R&D Directors to maintain alignment on priority projects
  • Build robust internal and external networks with Key Opinion Leaders in flow cytometry and imaging research communities
  • Generate thought leadership through scientific conferences, talks, tutorials, publications, and customer interactions

How will you get here?

Key attributes:

  • Skilled at building and cultivating superior relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across dynamic, matrixed, cross-functional environments
  • Strong strategic and tactical thinking with ability to visualize future market needs, conceptualize technical solutions, and organize work to meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Commercial acumen and business intuition; ability to recognize growth opportunities and drive technical innovation
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, draw conclusions, and formulate clear strategy and policies
  • Up to 25% global travel
  • Extensive cell biological laboratory experience with strong knowledge of immunology, flow cytometry, imaging, and fluorescence detection technologies
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing multicolor flow cytometry and imaging panels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex research and development programs
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Neurobiology, Oncology, Biology, or related field with 5+ years of relevant industrial experience, OR BS/MS with 10+ years of relevant industrial experience
