Role Summary
The Global Workplace Experience (GWE) team is seeking a Director, R&D Workplace Strategy Lead, to lead the strategic planning function that enables Pfizer's global Research & Development (R&D) real estate portfolio to flex and evolve alongside a rapidly changing scientific and business landscape.
Partnering directly with Global Workplace Experience leadership and R&D Leadership Teams across the globe, this role shapes long-range site and portfolio strategies that balance scientific innovation needs, capital investment priorities, space utilization and lab design & planning.
As a people leader, the Director manages a team of up to three (3) direct reports and serves as a key voice in shaping the strategic framework that guides GWE's support of R&D through portfolio planning, site master planning, space planning, laboratory design and strategic capital investment planning.
Given the breadth and complexity of Pfizer's global R&D footprint, this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence senior science and business leaders, and drive alignment across a highly matrixed, global organization.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily office-based role requiring use of standard office equipment and digital collaboration tools. Requires travel to R&D sites and periodic walkthroughs of office, laboratory, facility, and project environments. Must demonstrate sound judgment, analytical thinking, stakeholder influence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel globally (approximately 25–30%) to R&D sites and regional offices as needed. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate collaboration and decision-making across multiple global time zones.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
