Reporting to the Managing Director, Product Solutions & Services, this role is accountable for defining and delivering the end-to-end product, technology, and operations strategy across assigned product portfolios within US & Bermuda and Programs & Solutions.
The Director leads across multiple products and value streams, aligning business priorities with technology solutions and operational execution to drive speed to market, scalability, and customer experience outcomes. This role bridges strategy and execution—owning portfolio-level outcomes while ensuring disciplined delivery across Product Owners and Business Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and execute theproduct and operations strategyfor assigned products, aligning to business objectives and market trends
  • Own themulti-year product and capability roadmap, ensuring alignment with underwriting priorities, operational needs, and enterprise strategy
  • Leadportfolio prioritization, investment planning, and tradeoff decisions, balancing value, risk, and capacity
  • Ensure delivery ofmeasurable business outcomes, including efficiency, growth, profitability, and customer experience
  • Oversee thefull product lifecycle(ideation, development, launch, optimization, and retirement)

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as theprimary point of accountabilityfor aligning Product, Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders across the portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across underwriting, operations, marketing, IT, finance, and PMO
  • Drivestrategic stakeholder engagement, proactively identifying opportunities to improve product performance and operational efficiency
  • Ensure alignment betweenbusiness vision and delivery execution, connecting strategy to outcomes

Product, Technology & Architecture Alignment

  • Ensure business and product needs are translated intoscalable, integrated technology solutions, including APIs, portals, data, pricing, forms, and workflow capabilities
  • Partner with Architecture and Technology leaders to define and advance thetarget-state architecture and modernization roadmap
  • Drivestandardization, reuse, and integration across systems and product lines
  • Ensure solutions meetregulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements

Delivery, Operating Model & Governance

  • Own and evolve theproduct delivery operating model, including agile practices, governance, and standards across teams
  • Ensure alignment betweenportfolio strategy and team-level execution, connecting roadmaps to backlogs
  • Leaddelivery performance management, including prioritization, sequencing, capacity alignment, and dependency management
  • Drive transparency acrosscosts, benefits, timelines, risks, and quality, leveraging KPIs and OKRs
  • Partner with PMO and Change Management to ensureeffective intake, prioritization, and value realization

People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team ofProduct Owners and Business Analysts
  • Build and scaleproduct and BA capabilities, ensuring consistent practices, quality, and accountability
  • Coach and mentor leaders to strengthenproduct thinking, agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement
  • Foster a culture ofownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus

Operations & Process Transformation

  • Partner across Operations to ensuretechnology solutions are aligned to workflows, processes, and user experience
  • Lead initiatives to improveefficiency, automation, and operational scalability
  • Ensure strong integration ofUAT, training, and adoption strategiesto maximize business value
  • Championcustomer experience, leveraging data and feedback to continuously optimize outcomes

Competencies

  • Deep knowledge ofinsurance operations and product ecosystems
  • Strongstrategic thinking, analytical, and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to manageportfolio-level prioritization, tradeoffs, and delivery outcomes
  • Demonstrated success leadingcross-functional teams in matrixed environments
  • Experience drivingtechnology transformation and modernization initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder influence, including engagement withsenior leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in adynamic, fast-changing environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10–12+ years of experience in insurance product, technology, or operations leadership
  • Experience leadingmulti-team delivery and transformation initiatives
  • Agile, Lean, or product management certifications preferred
