Microsoft Plus works across all of Microsofts consumer apps and services on Windows and Mobile — including Windows, M365, Edge/Bing, Copilot, and Xbox — to drive adoption, engagement, and retention at scale. The biggest barrier to growing usage of Microsofts apps and services is awareness and discoverability. Hundreds of millions of people use Windows and mobile devices every day without knowing what Microsoft makes available to them. We are looking for a Director, Product Marketing, to lead a team of marketers responsible for advancing growth across Microsofts apps and services on Windows PCs and mobile devices. This is a people manager role for a senior, full-stack marketer whose primary skill is product-led growth — someone who knows how to partner with engineering teams to design and run in-product experiments that drive awareness, discoverability, and adoption.
This candidate also brings inbound and outbound marketing skills and can operate with equal effectiveness across growth, inbound, and outbound motions. This role requires operating in a highly cross-organizational environment, navigating ambiguity, and aligning multiple teams around a shared growth vision. This role is anchored in product-led growth, shaping how Microsoft surfaces value across in-product experiences in close partnership with multiple engineering organizations across Microsoft. The role also encompasses inbound marketing to understand user needs and inform what product experiences should be built, and outbound marketing via email and web to nurture awareness and engagement with apps and services on Windows. This leader will be accountable for driving measurable business impact at scale, owning awareness, adoption, engagement, and retention outcomes across Microsofts consumer ecosystem.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.

Product-Led Growth:
- Define and lead the vision and strategy for product-led growth across Microsofts apps and services on Windows and mobile, identifying the highest-leverage opportunities to drive awareness and adoption at scale.
- Partner directly with multiple engineering organizations across Microsoft to design, execute, and iterate on in-product experiments — including onboarding flows, cross-app discovery, notifications, and other product surfaces — using hypothesis-driven experimentation to move adoption and engagement metrics.
Build a rigorous experimentation practice across the team:
- Develop hypotheses grounded in user research and behavioral data, partner with engineering to implement tests, analyze results, and scale what works.
- Translate user research insights — particularly around awareness and discoverability gaps — into actionable growth strategies that engineering teams can execute against. Inbound and
Outbound Marketing:
- Lead inbound marketing efforts to understand user needs, jobs to be done, and market opportunities, and partner with engineering teams to inform what product experiences should be built.
- Drive outbound marketing for apps and services on Windows, primarily through email and web channels, to build awareness and nurture engagement among existing Windows and mobile users.
- Ensure a unified end-to-end customer journey across product and marketing surfaces, aligning in-product growth motions with outbound engagement strategies to create a coherent experience across touchpoints.
People Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of product marketers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive team culture grounded in Microsofts values.
- Design and evolve the team structure to meet the needs of a complex, cross-organizational growth charter.
- Attract, hire, and retain talent to build a team capable of operating at scale across product-led growth, inbound, and outbound marketing disciplines.
- Set clear priorities and operating rhythms that enable the team to deliver against business goals with rigor and accountability.
Cross-Organizational Partnership:
- Serve as a trusted partner to multiple engineering organizations and marketing teams across Microsoft, building relationships that ensure marketing is deeply embedded in product decision-making.
- Influence product roadmaps by ensuring customer insights and growth opportunities are reflected in engineering priorities.
- Work across organizational boundaries to align growth strategy with the priorities of Windows, M365, and other consumer product teams.
