The Director, PMO, Manufacturing Operations / Strategy & Transformation is responsible for establishing and leading ASD's enterprise-wide Program Management Office (PMO) and transformation governance system. This role drives the execution of major strategic initiatives, new product introduction (NPI), and cross-functional transformation programs that improve cost, quality, delivery, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Reporting directly to the SVP of Operations or President, the Director ensures portfolio alignment, resource optimization, milestone achievement, and measurable financial impact across the organization. This role serves as a central integrator for enterprise strategy deployment and transformation readiness.

  • Must have Manufacturing Experience / Strategy Development / Plant Project Management Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading PMO, strategy deployment, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Strategy Deployment (Hoshin), and project portfolio governance.
  • Proven history delivering complex, enterprise-wide transformation with measurable financial impact.
  • Executive communication, cross-functional influence, and leadership presence are essential.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across U.S. manufacturing locations

Enterprise PMO Governance & Strategy Deployment
  • Establish and govern ASD's enterprise PMO framework, including cadence, standards, prioritization, and accountability.
  • Lead annual and multi-year Strategy Deployment (Hoshin) processes to align enterprise objectives with actionable projects.
  • Maintain the Strategy Deployment Dashboard, ensuring visibility into benefits realization, resource allocation, risks, and milestone status.
  • Create and maintain standardized PMO tools, templates, and reporting structures.

Transformation Leadership & Strategic Program Execution
  • Drive execution of enterprise initiatives across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Lead transformation leaders, workstream owners, and project managers to deliver outcomes on time and within scope.
  • Establish clear project charters, schedules, KPIs, and financial targets.
  • Ensure robust cross-functional collaboration that accelerates execution and strengthens system performance.

Change Management & Communication
  • Lead change readiness assessments and stakeholder alignment processes for major initiatives.
  • Develop communication strategies, messaging plans, and leadership toolkits that support adoption.
  • Ensure transformation narratives are consistent with ASD's strategy, culture, and Lean Operating System standards.
  • Support leadership visibility, coaching, and engagement across all levels of the organization.

Performance Management & Executive Reporting
  • Deliver concise, data-driven updates to the SVP of Operations, President, and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Standardize PMO reporting for strategic initiatives, including status, risk, budget, and benefit realization.
  • Track performance through structured tiered reporting and monthly/quarterly governance.
  • Ensure escalation processes are followed when targets or timelines are at risk.

Continuous Improvement Integration
  • Integrate Lean, OpEx, TPM, SIOP, and Digital Transformation efforts into PMO governance.
  • Eliminate redundancy between initiatives and ensure alignment with ASD Lean Operating System expectations.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Lean & Enterprise Transformation to harmonize methodology, capability-building, and maturity assessment models.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, analysts, and transformation workstream leads.
  • Build enterprise project management capability and standardized PMO discipline across ASD.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, urgency, accountability, and disciplined execution.
  • Coach leaders at all levels in structured problem-solving, project governance, and change leadership.
