Job Title: Director of Performance and Growth Marketing

About the Role
This role is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of all performance-driven marketing initiatives, including paid media, email and SMS marketing, partnerships, reporting, and media vendor relationships. The position will drive transformation across teams, evolve marketing capabilities, accelerate enterprise growth objectives, and advance media innovation.
The Director will oversee performance marketing efforts across all business lines, develop and mature omnichannel communication programs, create integrated paid and owned media customer journeys, build a scalable partnership marketing engine, and define the marketing data foundations required for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
Paid Media Leadership
Lead paid media strategy and execution across all major digital channels in partnership with an external media agency.
Own and allocate the full media budget, optimizing for revenue growth, ROI, partner commitments, and campaign objectives.
Ensure media investments are fully optimized against performance goals, including CPA, CPM, and ROAS.
Design and execute seamless paid and owned media customer journeys across segments.
Co-own paid media-driven lead generation targets in collaboration with business line leaders.
Drive media efficiency, productivity, testing, and innovation through continuous A/B testing and creative optimization.
Lead the development of monthly, quarterly, and campaign-level reporting and performance dashboards.
Operationalize multi-touch attribution models to improve measurement and decision-making.
Partner with marketing transformation teams to align MarTech and AdTech capabilities.
Email & SMS Marketing
Oversee strategy and execution for all email and SMS marketing campaigns across business lines.
Consolidate teams, tools, and processes into a scalable, high-performing communication program.
Establish a strategic contact framework, including personalization, segmentation, targeting, and frequency.
Drive initiatives to significantly increase customer opt-in rates and channel engagement.
Own lifecycle, performance reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
Collaborate on tooling and data integrations to enable optimized lifecycle and retention marketing.
Partnership Marketing
Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership marketing strategy to increase awareness, reach, and lead generation.
Evaluate existing partnerships for performance and strategic alignment; identify and onboard new partners based on ROI.
Ensure strong execution of joint marketing initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
Own partnership reporting, dashboards, and performance measurement.
Manage all partnership contracts, compliance requirements, and regulatory considerations.
Media Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with major media platforms and vendors.
Ensure optimal commercial and strategic partnerships that drive performance and innovation.
Lead joint innovation programs and beta opportunities with media partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
10-12+ years of experience in paid media within an agency or in-house brand environment.
Proven leadership experience overseeing multi-channel marketing functions.
Demonstrated success managing large budgets, driving lead generation, improving ROI, and implementing attribution models.
Experience transitioning capabilities from external agencies to internal teams.
Strong background in data-driven marketing and modern MarTech ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with email and SMS platforms, CRM systems, segmentation, and personalization tools.
Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), data enrichment tools, analytics platforms, and performance dashboards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Deep expertise in paid media across SEM, social, programmatic, video, display, and affiliate channels.
Strong understanding of performance marketing, media measurement, and attribution modeling.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
Knowledge of lifecycle marketing and customer engagement best practices.
Familiarity with MarTech and AdTech platforms, including automation, analytics, and attribution tools.
Exceptional strategic planning, problem-solving, and executional skills.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Financial acumen and experience with budget ownership and optimization.
High proficiency with reporting tools and performance dashboards.
Ability to operate as a change agent in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Ability to connect strategy to execution and drive measurable outcomes across teams.
