Job Description:

  • Maintains an ongoing analysis of clinical service performance and monitors trends and opportunities.

  • Recommends, initiates, and evaluates service improvements to meet changing market needs.

  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development.

  • Collaborates effectively with physicians, peers, staff, and administration to promote interdisciplinary communication and cooperation.

  • Provides mentoring and coaching support for service leadership and staff.

  • Adjusts staffing to ensure adequate levels for patient care delivery.

  • Establishes service performance goals, allocates resources, and evaluates performance.

  • Manages costs according to established financial standards.

  • Coordinates development and tracking of both operational and capital budgets for assigned departments.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies governing healthcare delivery by monitoring operations and initiating required changes.

  • Directs the development of strategic and operational programs for the service area.

  • Plans and implements departmental and service policies and procedures that complement nursing division and hospital policies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • N/A

Education:

  • Master's [Required]

Field of Study:

  • in a relevant discipline

Work Experience:

  • 7+ management experience and proven leadership experience within assigned service line areas. [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Preferred]

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS [Preferred]
