UnityPoint Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Oncology Operations to join our leadership team. This role serves as the accountable operational leader for oncology services across our care continuum and Quad Cities market.
In this role, youll oversee key support functions such as tumor registry abstraction, infusion centers, outcomes reporting, charge capture, and other clinical and non-clinical services essential to high‑quality oncology care. The Director drives system‑wide initiatives, manages cross‑market teams, and supports oncology education and publication efforts. Working closely with market leadership, service line leaders, and a physician dyad, the Director advances growth and performance across clinical, operational, and financial domains. The ideal candidate fosters a collaborative, patient‑centered culture that champions teamwork, staff development, and delivery of an exceptional experience focused on quality, access, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Lead oncology operations to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered services across all assigned departments
Foster a collaborative culture aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values
Maintain strong visibility within oncology departments to support staff and operations
Partner with physician leaders to drive clinical, operational, and financial excellence
Manage budgets and financial performance, including revenue cycle and reimbursement oversight
Support strategic planning and communicate priorities with key stakeholders
Drive service line growth through effective tactics developed with system and physician leadership
Lead system‑wide teams and initiatives, removing barriers to project success
Build strong physician and APP relationships to support recruitment, retention, and service accessibility
Oversee system‑wide huddles and on‑call coverage for oncology administrative needs
Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
Required:
At least three (3) years of leadership experiene in oncology services within a healthcare system/organization is required
At least one (1) year of experience with oversight for a hospital-based oncology environment is required
Preferred:
Experience with working in a physician dyad model
Experience in a group practice and clinic leadership
Knowledge and experience with process improvement
Experience as a licensed clinical professional with patient contact
