Job Title: Director of Women’s Services

Location: Overland Park, KS

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $48.04/hr -  $72.05/hr (Based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Women’s Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for Women’s Health departments within a high-acuity hospital environment. This leadership role carries 24-hour accountability and reports directly to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO).

The department supports a comprehensive range of women’s and children’s services, including maternal-fetal care, labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric emergency services, within a large, high-volume facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services
  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource management for Women’s Services departments
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and best practices
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and support organizational goals and performance metrics
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure fiscally responsible operations
  • Foster a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state license
  • Minimum 5 years of recent leadership experience (Manager or Director level) in Women’s Services
  • Experience in a large, high-acuity hospital setting
  • Experience supporting high-volume birth programs (3,500+ births annually)
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty certification in Women’s Health or Nursing Leadership

Additional Information

  • Reports To: Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO)
  • Trauma Level: II
  • Full operational and clinical leadership responsibility for assigned units
