PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Direct and manage the district''s transportation and vehicle maintenance program. Oversee maintenance of all district-owned vehicles. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the transportation department.

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to direct and manage operations of a large fleet of vehicles
Knowledge of energy management and vehicle repair and maintenance
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate district function
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in school district transportation operations or a related operational leadership role, with demonstrated experience supervising personnel, managing departmental operations, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state transportation regulations, and implementing transportation services in accordance with applicable special education laws, regulations, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
