We seek a leader with vision, creativity, and a winning mindset and attitude who is eager to build partnerships, inspire students, and elevate a culture of writing excellence. The position offers an exciting opportunity for a strategic and student-centered leader to shape a culture of writing excellence while making a lasting impact on undergraduate education and institutional success.

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the English General Education Program, delivering engaging instruction that strengthens students writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Designing and cultivating an engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that encourages confidence, critical thinking, and academic success.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, training, and inspiring a team of student peer tutors to deliver exceptional writing support while fostering leadership and professional development.
  • Leveraging data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative outcomes to demonstrate program effectiveness and contribute to student retention and success initiatives.
  • Building collaborative partnerships with faculty, departments, and campus stakeholders to integrate writing support across the curriculum and expand the Writing Centers impact.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative programming, workshops, and outreach initiatives that elevate the visibility and effectiveness of the Writing Center.
  • Participating in departmental, college, and university committees and activities related to the Writing Center as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.
  • Performing other duties as assigned in support of the Universitys mission and strategic priorities.

Typical Qualifications
