GTS Technology Solutions is seeking a Director of Technology Services for a premier Central Texas K-12 school district. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the district's enterprise technology infrastructure, cybersecurity program, network operations, systems administration, and technology strategy.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative technology leader with experience managing enterprise infrastructure, leading technical teams, developing long-range technology roadmaps, and driving secure, reliable technology operations. The environment consists of Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft technologies, and Linux infrastructure, while supporting a large Apple endpoint environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise technology infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
  • Lead and mentor infrastructure and network teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop long-range infrastructure, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and technology replacement strategies.
  • Oversee network, wireless, server, storage, telecommunications, and data center operations.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security across district technology systems.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives including risk management, vulnerability management, incident response, and security best practices.
  • Develop and manage technology infrastructure budgets, lifecycle planning, and capital replacement strategies.
  • Manage technology vendors, contracts, procurement activities, and service providers.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation while managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable technology, cybersecurity, and data privacy regulations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology strategy and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years managing enterprise technology infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of technology leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Experience managing technology budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure operations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in K-12 education, higher education, local government, or another public sector environment.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, CCNP, Microsoft, VMware, or Fortinet.
  • Experience with technology asset management, software licensing, and enterprise technology lifecycle planning.
