Director of Technical Accounting

Director of Technical Accounting - Northshore, MA (Hybrid)

We’re partnering with a leading investment firm to hire a Director of Technical Accounting. This is a high-impact role with strong visibility, working on complex transactions and partnering closely with senior leadership.

This position will  pay between 150-200K on a base salary plus bonus and offers a hybrid 3/2 schedule

What you’ll be doing:

• Evaluate accounting for complex transactions (M&A, equity method, partnerships)
• Partner with Finance and deal teams on new initiatives
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP; document technical positions
• Monitor new accounting standards and assess business impact
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred)
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong technical accounting exposure
• Background in public accounting highly preferred
• Experience with complex structures (investments, partnerships, equity) a big plus
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical guidance into practical solutions
