As the Director of Systems supporting the Five Star Painting brand, you will:
  • You'll play a critical role in connecting business strategy with operational technology by leading the systems that power our franchise network.
  • Lead the strategy, optimization, and ongoing performance of enterprise business systems, including POS, CRM, call center platforms, websites, and other operational technologies.
  • Develop and manage system roadmaps, enhancements, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Technology, Marketing, Customer Support, and Brand Leadership to identify business needs and implement scalable solutions.
  • Serve as the primary business escalation point for enterprise system issues and coordinate timely resolutions with internal teams and technology partners.
  • Drive technology adoption through process improvements, change management, user readiness, and training initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting, and analytics that provide leadership with actionable business insights and performance visibility.
  • Standardize systems, workflows, and operational processes across multiple locations to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring strong service delivery, accountability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional projects while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to identify opportunities that improve business operations.

(Required qualifications)
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience supporting business systems within a franchise, multi-unit, or multi-location organization.
    • Experience managing enterprise business applications such as POS, CRM, ERP, call center platforms, or similar operational technologies.
    • Demonstrated success leading system implementations, enhancements, technology adoption, and process improvement initiatives.
    • Experience developing system roadmaps and partnering with cross-functional business leaders to deliver technology solutions.
    • Strong vendor management experience, including software providers and technology partners.
    • Experience creating dashboards, KPI reporting, and business analytics to support operational decision-making.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Familiarity with AI, automation, or emerging technologies is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA highly preferred.
  • Schedule / in-office requirements:
    • Travel of up to 25% may be required between office locations and for business-related needs.

      This position follows a hybrid work model, with employees working in office three to four days a week.
