Fasteners Direct is seeking a high-impact operational leader to elevate our supply chain and procurement function as we continue scaling toward ambitious revenue and profitability goals.

This role is designed for a strategic, hands-on leader who can improve material availability, strengthen inventory discipline, drive vendor performance, and build the structure and accountability needed to support long-term growth.

Reporting directly to the COO, this position will play a critical role in helping drive the company toward its long-term revenue and EBITDA objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader who is comfortable creating structure, solving problems, driving accountability, and leading meaningful operational improvement in a growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and improve overall supply chain and procurement performance across the organization
  • Support the company's long-term EBITDA and revenue growth goals through operational and supply chain leadership
  • Drive material availability, inventory accuracy, and vendor accountability to support customer commitments and operational efficiency
  • Develop scalable purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain processes aligned with long-term growth objectives
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Leadership to improve planning, execution, and service levels
  • Lead vendor negotiations related to pricing, lead times, freight, service expectations, and strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Improve visibility into inventory performance, purchasing trends, landed cost, and supply chain metrics
  • Build accountability, structure, and performance standards across the procurement function
  • Lead and develop a team consisting of a Demand Buyer, Procurement Supervisor, and Buying Associate
  • Identify operational risks, supply chain gaps, and process improvement opportunities before they impact customers or profitability

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or operational leadership
  • Experience leading purchasing, sourcing, inventory control, or supply chain functions within a distribution, industrial, manufacturing, or related environment
  • Proven ability to improve operational performance, create accountability, and lead through change
  • Strong understanding of inventory strategy, vendor management, forecasting, purchasing processes, and supply chain planning
  • Experience managing domestic and international suppliers, including long lead times, freight, and vendor performance challenges
  • Strong ERP and data-driven decision-making experience; Prophet 21, Epicor, NetSuite, Infor, or similar systems preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience in industrial distribution, fasteners, metals, or related product categories preferred
