Navigator is seeking a dedicated, passionate Special Education leader who is driven to impact the lives of traditionally underserved students. The Director of Student Services will ensure top-quality services are provided to all students. This position is responsible for the effective coordination, delivery, evaluation, and refinement of Individual Education Plan (IEP) services across all Navigator Schools, as well as other services supporting a successful full inclusion education model. Student services programs include student health services, psychological services, guidance services, and other services related to student well-being and safety. The Director of Student Services will be an essential member of the senior leadership team and a collaborative teammate in the work to provide an educational environment where all students succeed and can achieve their full potential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a valid California Special Education Credential required
- Graduate degree a plus, 5+ years of Special Education leadership experience working with a diverse student population required
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to use discretion and good judgment when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations
