Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and execute sourcing strategies across commodity chemicals, specialty chemicals, and packaging categories.
Lead supplier negotiations, including long-term agreements, volume incentives, rebates, and strategic partnership structures.
Drive measurable cost savings and margin improvement through structured sourcing processes and total cost analysis.
Build and maintain executive-level supplier relationships to improve service levels, collaboration, and innovation.
Implement supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Develop cost models incorporating raw material indices, freight, packaging, currency, and duties.
Monitor commodity markets and industry indices impacting key inputs.
Identify global sourcing opportunities to improve cost position and mitigate supply risk.
Own sourcing analytics and reporting leveraging the recently implemented ERP system.
Develop dashboards and KPI tracking for spend, price variance, contract compliance, and working capital impact.
Ensure procurement processes align with regulatory and chemical industry compliance requirements.
Support financial planning and budgeting processes through accurate cost forecasting.
Education and/or Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
5-7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or other relevant supply chain experience.
Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts for direct materials.
Preferred:
Master's degree (MBA or related field).
Experience in chemical distribution, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods, or other relevant industries preferred.
Exposure to global sourcing and international supplier management.
Experience developing/implementing procurement analytics tools.
