Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to join Hotel 1928 and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue generation, brand visibility, strategic market positioning, and guest engagement through innovative sales and marketing initiatives. The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee all sales efforts, digital and traditional marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, community partnerships, and revenue-driving initiatives while ensuring alignment with the hotel's business objectives and brand standards.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers through positive leadershipLead all sales and marketing initiatives for the hotel, ensuring alignment with brand standards, revenue goals, and overall business strategyDevelop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans designed to increase occupancy, drive revenue growth, strengthen market share, and elevate brand awarenessOversee digital marketing efforts including social media strategy, website presence, online reputation management, email campaigns, promotional advertising, and content creation initiativesDevelop strategic partnerships within the local community, corporate market, tourism industry, universities, wedding/event sectors, and business organizations to increase visibility and generate new business opportunitiesCollaborate with Food & Beverage, Events, and Operations teams to create integrated promotional campaigns, special events, seasonal offerings, and guest experiences that drive engagement and revenueMonitor online guest reviews, social engagement, and brand perception to ensure a consistent and elevated guest experience across all customer touchpointsDirect advertising and promotional campaigns including print, digital, social media, influencer collaborations, media outreach, and community engagement efforts while tracking ROI and campaign effectivenessProvide pricing and guidance recommendations for sales staff and review and approve negotiated corporate and group ratesDevelop a working knowledge of the operations of the hotel including food and beverage, guest services, reservations, and revenue management principlesDevelop complete knowledge of and ensure adherence to company sales and marketing policies, brand standards, and SOPsDrive customer loyalty and repeat business by delivering exceptional service and relationship management throughout each customer experienceProvide guidance for RFP season annually to National Sales with the help of GM and/or Regional DOS & National SalesEnsure all pertinent aspects of solicitation, closing, contracts, customer communications, and marketing initiatives are complete and properly documentedIdentify and pursue new and repeat business through prospecting calls, networking events, site tours, client meetings, community involvement, and relationship-building initiativesDevelop and maintain market awareness to identify revenue opportunities and implement proactive strategies that maximize hotel performanceAnalyze sales, marketing, and revenue management reports to identify trends, forecast future demand, optimize marketing spend, and maximize profitabilityMonitor pricing, market positioning, and competitor activity to ensure the hotel remains competitive within the marketplaceConduct ongoing competitor analysis to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional efforts, digital presence, and product offerings relative to competitionRecommend and implement new sales and marketing programs while accurately tracking campaign effectiveness and return on investmentInitiate collateral and online marketing efforts including website enhancements, direct mail campaigns, promotional materials, email marketing, social media engagement, and advertising initiativesPrepare annual sales, marketing, business, and budget plansSet and monitor team member goals including weekly sales activities, revenue goals, marketing initiatives, and performance metricsSupport the development of promotional materials, brand storytelling, photography direction, and property messaging that reflects the hotel's unique identity and guest experiencePartner with regional leadership and revenue management teams to align sales and marketing strategies with overall company objectivesMentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, innovation, and performance excellenceAbide by Prime Time Selling hoursPerform any other job-related duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years progressive hotel sales and marketing experience with leadership responsibilitiesExperience in digital marketing, brand management, social media strategy, and revenue-focused hospitality marketing preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong analytical skills relative to hotel revenues, forecasting, and revenue optimizationStrong understanding of digital marketing platforms, social media strategy, reputation management, and brand positioningAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingStrong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management principlesExperience
