Position Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Director of Sales with direct, proven experience in
the door industry who can immediately contribute revenue through an existing book
of business and industry relationships, while building and leading a high-
performance sales team.
This is a player-coach role for a leader who has already won in the door and
building products space-not someone learning the industry. You will be expected to
bring relationships, open doors quickly, and close business early, while
simultaneously scaling a disciplined, accountable sales organization.
If you do not have existing relationships with contractors, distributors, or
developers in the door industry, this role is not a fit.
What You'll Own
Immediate Revenue Impact
Leverage your existing book of business and relationships to generate revenue within the first 90–180 days
Personally close high-value opportunities across commercial, residential, and multi-family segments
Re-engage dormant relationships and convert pipeline quickly
Sales Leadership (Player-Coach)
Lead from the front-set the standard for activity, urgency, and closing
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team
Drive accountability through structured pipeline reviews and performance management
Upgrade talent where needed to support aggressive growth goals
Market Expansion
Expand market share across Central Florida and targeted growth regions
Penetrate key verticals: contractors, builders, developers, and distribution channels
Establish the company as a preferred vendor in competitive bid and specification environments
Pipeline, Process & Accountability
Enforce strict CRM discipline and pipeline visibility
Own forecasting accuracy and revenue predictability
Implement KPIs, dashboards, and a consistent reporting cadence
Use data to drive decisions and performance improvements
Cross-Functional Execution
Align closely with operations, estimating, and production to ensure execution matches sales commitments
Remove friction between sales and fulfillment to support scalable growth

Required Qualifications
Direct experience in the door industry (commercial and/or residential REQUIRED)
Existing book of business and industry relationships REQUIRED
7–10+ years of B2B sales experience in building products or construction
3–5+ years in a sales leadership role
Proven success generating revenue through both personal production and team leadership
Strong experience with CRM systems and structured sales processes
Compensation
Base Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 (based on experience and book of business) plus bonus
Bonus Structure: Aggressive, tied to:
o Team revenue growth
o Overall company performance
o Personal production (strategic deals)
