Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales and Marketing for a luxury level senior living campus in Washington DC. You will lead our sales initiatives and marketing efforts. This leadership role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, fostering relationships with prospective clients, and managing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales, business development, and management within senior living or related healthcare sectors. Your expertise will drive occupancy growth, enhance brand visibility, and ensure exceptional customer service for our residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies tailored to the senior living market to achieve occupancy goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to maximize performance through coaching, training, and goal setting.
  • Cultivate relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and prospective residents through outside sales activities.
  • Oversee the management of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track leads, monitor sales pipelines, and analyze market trends.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns across digital platforms, print media, community events, and outreach initiatives to increase brand awareness.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with prospective residents and referral partners effectively.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless onboarding experiences for new residents.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics regularly; prepare reports for executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.

Skills

  • Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales within senior living or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead teams toward achieving targets.
  • Expertise in marketing strategies applicable to senior living communities.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce; familiarity with technology sales is a plus.
