Director of Risk ManagementStart Date: ASAPJob Description & RequirementsPositionThe Director of Risk Management, Patient Safety & Compliance provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization's Risk Management and Loss Prevention programs. This leader is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating organizational risk while promoting a culture of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, with a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the Regional Director of Risk, this leader will oversee two direct reports.This leader will be responsible for implementing best practices within the department, focusing on proactive risk prevention rather than reactive response. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, developing team capabilities, enhancing organizational value through strategic initiatives, and elevating standards of care through effective risk management, compliance, and patient safety practices.The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong executive presence and demonstrated success in complex healthcare environments. The individual must possess excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, maintain a visible, hands‑on leadership approach, and effectively engage with staff at all levels of the organization.Previous hospital‑based leadership experience is strongly preferred, along with the ability to navigate complex operational and regulatory challenges while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.Active RN license and/or clinical background preferred.Minimum of three years of Risk Management, Patient Safety, Loss Prevention, or related healthcare compliance experience required.
