Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Revenue Development to build and lead a modern, data-driven pipeline generation function for a high-growth SaaS organization. The Director of Revenue Development will sit at the intersection of sales and marketing, responsible for converting market interest into high-quality, multi-threaded sales opportunities while driving predictable revenue growth. The Director of Revenue Development is a direct placement role with the company and requires you to work on site in Austin, TX 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Director of Revenue Development:
Own top-of-funnel conversion from MQL to qualified opportunity and deliver consistent, high-quality pipeline
Define and enforce SLAs across sales and marketing to ensure alignment and accountability
Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing Revenue Development team with clear structure and career paths
Partner with Marketing to translate campaigns into effective account-level execution strategies
Collaborate with AEs to ensure strong opportunity handoffs and follow-through
Drive outbound programs, ABM initiatives, and continuous optimization of funnel performance
Requirements of the Director of Revenue Development:
6-12+ years of experience in SaaS sales development, demand generation, or revenue operations
Proven track record building and scaling SDR/BDR or revenue development teams in enterprise environments
Ability to communicate complex, technical offerings to non-technical audiences
Strong understanding of B2B buying processes and multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Experience partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leadership
Analytical, data-driven mindset with familiarity in CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft)
Compensation for the Director of Revenue Development:
$140,000 - $180,000 base salary + Bonus
