Location YOTEL Washington DC Position Director of Revenue Management Description
Maximize overall revenue for the property through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends and historical data. The DORM is responsible for determining the optimal mix of customers and managing the distribution strategies on all channels to drive market share. Communicate revenue management strategic vision to leadership team and owners.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the hotels' analytical efforts as applied to room sales.
- Support the hotels' yield efforts, via analysis and reporting that ensure that all segments and distribution channels are "mined" for revenue opportunities based on budget, forecast, pace and market demand.
- Develop and maintain an innovative, forward-thinking team attitude, driven towards improvement.
- Maximize the potential and ensure proactive and accurate maintenance and management of all systems: IDeaS, Opera, etc.
- "Partner" with the property team to provide analysis, reporting and data collection as needed.
- Provide analytical research documents and reports in support of the annual Rate and Budget processes as well as development of the Business Plan
- Take lead in writing and providing analytical research documents and reports to complete a month end Financial Reports.
- Identify and communicate demand periods (high and low) for which a strategic plan is needed; build the strategic plan in conjunction with Sales Team.
- Ensure that the necessary reports are maintained and systematically analyzed, including market intelligence reports including but not limited to: Rubicon, Hotelligence, STR, DaySTR, Pace Reports, Daily Pick up reports, Forecasts, and any other reports as required.
- Lead Weekly Strategy Meetings; provide insight and recommendations in terms of pricing, availability, market demand and promotional opportunities for all segments and channels.
- Ensure hotel's yield strategy is accurately implemented and with a sense of urgency in all distribution channels via IDeaS, Opera, etc. for all future dates.
- Facilitate weekly sales strategy meetings with the General Manager to discuss trends, review prior month information, and determine upcoming events and future strategies.
- Assist with Annual Budget, Annual Strategic Pricing and Market Plan process
- Ensure that a daily 120 day forecast by segment is updated and reviewed weekly with the hotel's General Manager, the Director of Sales and leadership team.
- Create a strong, open minded revenue culture throughout entire hotel
Position Requirements
- • At least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel revenue management field experience equired;
- • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Products with a prerequisite in Excel formulating and reporting
- • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- • Strong organizational management and ability of handling multiple responsibilities at any given time
- Has an excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Is flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, needs and priorities
- Strong, assertive and self-motivated individual with natural urge to achieve results and accomplish self-imposed goals.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000, annually.
