Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead a multidisciplinary therapy team within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. This leadership role oversees rehabilitation services across Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and therapy assistant disciplines while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
The Director of Rehabilitation will provide strategic and operational oversight for therapy services, support staff development, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote clinical excellence in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Program Leadership
- Oversee rehabilitation services across PT, OT, ST, PTA, and COTA disciplines
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered therapy services within skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings
- Establish and maintain clinical standards focused on treatment excellence and positive resident outcomes
Staff Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
Operations & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Monitor departmental productivity, outcomes, and operational performance metrics
- Maintain documentation standards and support audit readiness initiatives
Care Coordination & Collaboration
- Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Participate in resident care planning and goal development
- Foster effective communication between therapy and clinical departments
Quality Improvement
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to enhance therapy efficiency and resident outcomes
- Implement evidence-based rehabilitation practices and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Therapist (PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA) or eligibility for licensure in South Dakota upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience developing individualized treatment plans
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused environment
Preferred Experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing setting
- Familiarity with skilled nursing facility operations, compliance standards, and interdisciplinary care coordination
