We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to lead all procurement and inventory operations for a prestigious luxury beachfront resort in beautiful Miramar Beach, Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic leader who thrives in a high-end hospitality environment and understands the importance of delivering exceptional service through efficient purchasing, vendor management, and cost control.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury hotels or resorts, exceptional negotiation skills, and a passion for operational excellence. Responsibilities
  • Direct all purchasing and procurement activities for the resort.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers while negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Source high-quality products that meet luxury hospitality standards.
  • Ensure timely procurement of food & beverage, housekeeping, engineering, spa, retail, and operating supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage departmental budgets.
  • Maintain compliance with company purchasing policies and financial controls.
  • Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other operational departments.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved vendor relationships.
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure purchasing practices support sustainability initiatives and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive purchasing leadership experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or large hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality procurement, inventory management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Experience purchasing for multiple departments including Food & Beverage, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Guest Services.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Proficiency with purchasing, inventory, and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment while managing multiple priorities.
