Our client, a respected manufacturer with over 130 years of innovation, is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead and develop a high-performing procurement team during a growth phase. This on-site role requires a strategic thinker who thrives in complex environments, embraces change, and challenges the status quo to improve supply chain functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing procurement strategies to reduce costs and inventory while ensuring product availability
- Building strategic vendor relationships supporting quality and reliability
- Creating KPI dashboards to monitor supply chain performance
- Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution teams to drive operational excellence
- Leading and developing the Supply Chain team with clear goals and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience
- Strong understanding of MRP principles and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
