Director of Product Management & Marketing
Focus: Zonal Power & Intelligent Distribution (SmartFET, Smart eFuse)
Location: San Jose, Detroit
Position Summary
As the Director of Product Marketing & Management for Zonal Power, you will lead the strategy for our intelligent power distribution portfolio. This includes SmartFETs and eFuses designed for next-generation automotive architectures. You will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, managing the product lifecycle, and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving requirements of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) and zonal E/E designs.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MS or MBA preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in semiconductor product management or marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in the automotive sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power semiconductors (MOSFETs, protected switches) and automotive power distribution networks.
- Compliance: Familiarity with automotive quality and safety standards, including AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
- Communication: Proven ability to present complex technical roadmaps to both internal executives and external customers.
- Leadership: Experience leading professional teams and managing projects in a global, matrixed environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic features for predictive maintenance in automotive systems.
- Established relationships with key decision-makers at major OEMs & automotive Tier-1s.
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $178,135.00 - 320,505.00 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. - Business Management: Own the P&L for the product line, including revenue forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.
- Market Analysis: Identify market trends in automotive power distribution (e.g., 12V to 48V transitions) and conduct competitive analysis to maintain portfolio differentiation.
- Customer Engagement: Work directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to understand system-level requirements and secure product design-ins.
- Sales Enablement: Create technical marketing collateral, reference designs, and training materials to support global sales and field applications teams.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to ensure products meet automotive standards and are delivered according to schedule.
