Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career while shaping the future of how clients and advisors experience banking within a modern wealth management ecosystem.

The Director of Product Management - Digital Banking Experiences will lead the strategy, modernization, and execution of Schwab's end-to-end banking experiences-one of the most critical components of the client and advisor relationship.

This role owns the vision and roadmap for delivering integrated banking capabilities that seamlessly support clients' everyday liquidity, credit, and specialized financial needs within the broader wealth journey. You will lead a team of product managers, partner deeply with technology, design, and bank business partners, and operate at a fast pace with high executive visibility to transform legacy experiences into scalable, intelligent, and compliant solutions across both client and advisor channels.

This leader will play a central role in modernizing how banking is experienced at Schwab-reimagining client and advisor journeys, embedding AI-driven capabilities, and elevating the overall experience while maintaining the rigor required in a highly regulated environment.

As the Director of Product Management - Banking Experiences, you will:

  • Own and articulate a clear product vision and multi-year roadmap focused on modernizing banking experiences across client and advisor channels
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of full lifecycle product managers responsible for strategy through execution across complex domains
  • Drive the redesign of end-to-end journeys to deliver more intuitive, connected, and intelligent banking experiences within the broader wealth management context
  • Partner closely with Business, Technology, UX, Offer, Risk, Legal, and Operations to deliver scalable and compliant solutions
  • Lead the application of AI and GenAI across banking experiences-including hands-on involvement in shaping and building AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., decisioning, personalization, servicing, workflow automation)
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize legacy processes, improving both client experience and operational efficiency
  • Balance innovation with strong risk management, regulatory compliance, and controls, ensuring all solutions meet the standards expected in banking
  • Assess client, advisor, and representative needs; identify gaps and translate insights into prioritized product initiatives
  • Define success metrics, business cases, and measurable outcomes that demonstrate client and business impact
  • Navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and executive-level tradeoffs to drive timely, well-reasoned product decisions
  • Lead with urgency, strong judgment, and emotional intelligence-moving transformation forward while building alignment across stakeholders

What you have

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, with significant experience across banking, wealth management, or integrated advice platforms
  • Deep expertise in banking experiences, with a strong understanding of risk, regulatory, and control frameworks
  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading full lifecycle product managers and building high-performing teams (team size ~5+)
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing complex, end-to-end digital experiences in highly regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience building AI-enabled products, including partnering with data science and engineering teams to design and deliver production-grade AI solutions
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use within financial services, including governance, explainability, and model risk considerations
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders and bank business stakeholders
  • Strong product strategy, roadmap development, and execution skills in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
  • Ability to synthesize client needs, regulatory constraints, and business priorities into clear product decisions
  • Experience working closely with risk, compliance, legal, and business partners to deliver compliant, scalable experiences
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills across product, technology, design, and business teams
  • High emotional intelligence with a leadership style that balances urgency, accountability, and strong partnership

Preferred:

  • Experience leading large-scale modernization efforts within banking or financial services
  • Experience delivering integrated experiences across banking and wealth management journeys
  • Track record of delivering AI/GenAI-powered capabilities in production within regulated environments
  • Experience integrating or scaling third-party platforms and partners
  • Familiarity with credit, liquidity, and client cash management dynamics within wealth relationships
  • FINRA licenses and/or relevant banking certifications
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus
