SUMMARY
The Director of Pricing is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic pricing models across transportation and 3PL services, with a focus on maximizing profitability and market competitiveness. This leadership role manages a team of pricing analysts, guiding data-driven decision-making and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge with strong analytical and mentoring skills, driving continuous improvement in pricing strategy, bid responses, and margin optimization. Collaboration with sales, operations, and finance teams is essential to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions.
This position will work closely with sales to identify the feasibility of opportunities, be a resource on sales calls and verify outgoing solutions documentation. Work closely with Implementation/Operations teams as the internal customer to ensure that the solution(s) is complete and clearly handed off to ensure operational execution. This position is responsible for maintaining financial and pricing metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals. Responsibilities also include sourcing transportation providers to expand multi-mode capabilities. Work closely with Carrier Development to expand and maintain service provider networks.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, economics, finance, or data analytics or related field. Preferred MBA in business administration, SCS, or analytics. Must possess a minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in transportation and 3PL pricing. Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in Excel, expertise in utilizing TMS platforms, RFP and Bid management platforms, and industry specific tools for real time rate benchmarking and lane intelligence.
Must possess a high level of reasoning ability and common sense to resolve complex problems and analyze data and information accurately. Must have strong presentation skills with the ability to inform and persuade internal and external stakeholders in relations to developed solutions. Strong writing skills with experience documenting design methodologies to create logistics solutions and responses to RFP's. Must demonstrate a passion for cost and service level optimization. Must possess strong capabilities in modeling software and techniques.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires travel up to 25% of the time within the US.
