Job Description

  • Lead and oversee power delivery projects across transmission, distribution, substations, protection & controls, interconnection, and related infrastructure throughout the U.S.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership across engineering, design, project management, and execution
  • Manage, mentor, and grow teams of Project Managers, engineers, designers, and technical staff
  • Serve as a senior client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while supporting projects from concept through execution
  • Partner with leadership to expand market presence, grow client relationships, and pursue new opportunities
  • Drive recruiting, retention, and development of top technical talent
  • Lead annual business planning, including revenue forecasting, staffing strategy, and growth initiatives
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Improve internal processes, delivery standards, QA/QC practices, and operational scalability
  • Coordinate across internal teams, utility clients, developers, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain technical standards and best practices across the Power Delivery group
  • Promote a culture of technical excellence, accountability, mentorship, and proactive communication

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Power Delivery should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (PE preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in power & energy, utilities, or related infrastructure work
  • Experience across transmission, distribution, substations, protection & controls, interconnection, or power system studies
  • Proven client-facing leadership experience with strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong business and strategic planning experience (forecasting, staffing, growth initiatives)
  • Solid understanding of engineering/design workflows for utility and high-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Experience partnering with utilities, developers, IPPs, or large infrastructure clients preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
