Dates of Coverage needed: Roughly 7/9-10/1 (with 2 weeks of training prior to coverage)
Coverage Hours needed: Monday through Friday, 0800-1630
Will this person need to take on-call? No office on call but this person needs to act as a resource to address pharmacy staff questions/concerns
Order Entry System: Meditech Expanse (experience preferred as this position manages the drug dictionary).
Site Specialty Areas: OB (no NICU or high risk pregnancy), Orthopedics (all), pediatric (no PICU), Oncology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, adult behavioral health, endocrinology, podiatry, general surgery, rheumatology, wound care services
Staff Size: 4.5 pharmacist FTEs, 6 technician FTEs
Site Background/History: OZH is in our Joint Commission survey window fall of 2026
Job Responsibilities and expectations: Director of Pharmacy duties, create schedules for technicians and pharmacists, work with Buyer to address medication supply chain issues, run Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (create agenda, run meetings, implement approved initiatives). Attend monthly meetings of 3 medical staff committees and COPD readmissions reduction meetings. Run monthly department meetings and daily (weekdays only) department Huddles. Order controlled substances twice weekly. Manage payroll and users with access to Pyxis. Must take PIC.
Will there be sterile compounding involved, or could sterile compounding potentially be a part of their job function? Yes (small potential, in case of staff call-ins)
What type of training will be provided? Onsite training for 2 weeks before maternity leave starts.
Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs (any color or print)
