AlediumHR is partnering with a respected regional hospital in northeastern Nevada to identify an experienced Director of People. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive leadership role will shape the organization's workforce strategy, strengthen employee engagement, oversee labor relations, and help build a culture that supports exceptional patient care.

The Opportunity

This is more than a Human Resources position. It is an opportunity to influence the future of a community hospital by partnering with executive leadership on talent, culture, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Leadership Impact

  • Serve as the senior HR advisor to the CEO and leadership team.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and talent development efforts.
  • Oversee employee relations, investigations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Manage labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes, and union partnerships.
  • Utilize workforce data and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop HR staff while fostering a high-performing work environment.

The Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, labor relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and organizational development.
  • Experience advising executive leadership and managing HR operations.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Highly Valued Experience

  • Acute care hospital or healthcare HR leadership experience.
  • Union and collective bargaining experience.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Rural healthcare or multi-union environment experience.
  • Experience leading workforce engagement and culture transformation initiatives.
