DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE AND CULTURE

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a Director of People and Culture for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior people leadership role for an HR professional who serves as a true business partner to the General Manager and leadership team, translating commercial strategy into meaningful people initiatives that attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and execute a People and Culture strategy that supports the property's mission, values, and business goals
  • Oversee the full colleague lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, success on planning, and retention
  • Drive colleague engagement, wellbeing, and a values-led, high-performance culture across the property
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and grievances with fairness and consistency
  • Oversee compensation structures, benefits administration, and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness
  • Ensure full compliance with local labour laws, data protection requirements, and HR policies
  • Support leadership development and implement learning programs that build capability and drive growth
  • Lead the People and Culture team and manage HR systems, reporting, and departmental budgets

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable HR leadership role, ideally within luxury hospitality
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at the most senior levels
  • Solid knowledge of local labour legislation, payroll processes, and HR systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Sharp analytical ability with experience managing complex HR data and reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred
