Director of Parts Sales
Owen Equipment Company, an Owen Company, is looking to hire an experienced Director of Parts Sales to join our growing team in our Portland, Oregon location, but qualified candidates could also sit in our Kent, Washington or Salt Lake City, Utah location(s). We are one of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the United States and sell, service and rent sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and related accessories. We are the largest supplier in the Western U.S. of replacement brushes and brooms for sweeping equipment. We maintain five full-service locations in Portland, Oregon; Kent, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Fairfield, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer base consists of the largest municipalities and contractors in the Western U.S. Our equipment is critical to keeping our streets and sewer systems clean, locating buried infrastructure during construction projects, and helping to build and maintain our electrical grid.

Salary: $120k / year – 20% bonus potential

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with senior leadership to establish overall goals and objectives for the parts department
Develop and manage the department's budget, analyzing financial reports to identify areas for improvement
Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments.
Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
Work closely with the internal and external customers to ensure the timely turnaround of needed parts
Provides technical assistance to customers
Develop and enforce SOPs for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Drive parts sales by identifying opportunities, implementing marketing initiatives, and monitoring department performance metrics
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and according to deadline.
Utilize CRM to effectively manage and report on customer base
Other duties as assigned or required

Skills, qualifications, and abilities:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, technicians, and other team members
Strong organizational and time management skills
Successfully builds and maintains strong internal/external relationships
Successfully drives for results & drives change management
P&L Management experience preferred
High attention to detail
Minimum two years of related experience (equipment Industry experience highly preferred)
Ability to motivate team and drive results
Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool diploma
A valid driver's license
Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
Ability to travel 50%
