We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations who is passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and creating systems that allow children, families, and employees to thrive.
This is a key leadership position that works directly with the Owner to lead daily operations, support our leadership team, strengthen enrollment, and continue building an exceptional organization.
About the Role
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading the daily operations of Precious Angels Learning Center by creating operational excellence through staffing, compliance, accountability, enrollment, and organizational systems.
This position provides leadership to the administrative team while ensuring our center operates efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with our mission and values.
The ideal candidate enjoys building systems, developing people, solving problems, and creating an exceptional experience for both families and employees.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
Lead the daily operations of the center
Develop and improve operational systems and procedures
Supervise and support the administrative leadership team
Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork
Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom coverage
Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements
Oversee labor management and operational efficiency
Coordinate facility, safety, and operational processes
Enrollment & Family Experience
Oversee the enrollment process from inquiry through onboarding
Conduct tours for prospective families as needed
Monitor enrollment trends and classroom capacity
Build relationships with prospective and current families
Support family retention through exceptional communication and service
Ensure administrative systems and child records remain organized and accurate
Staff Leadership
Coach, mentor, and support employees
Conduct performance conversations
Hold employees accountable to organizational standards
Participate in hiring and onboarding
Foster a positive, child-focused culture

Childcare leadership experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with scheduling, staffing, and operational management
Knowledge of licensing regulations preferred (or willingness to learn)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with technology, Google Workspace, and administrative systems
