Join our fast-paced and passionate team as a Director of Operations. As we scale, you will be instrumental in building our operational foundation from the ground up, serving as the bridge between executive vision and day-to-day execution. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. You'll have the opportunity to build the infrastructure that allows our innovations to scale and develop engineering-adjacent practices that support our mission and growth. Your key responsibilities are as follows:
Supply Chain & Procurement Strategy: Build and lead our procurement engine. You will own supplier selection, long-term forecasting, and strategic vendor management to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency. You will lead by example and play an active role in day to day purchasing activities.
Supplier Quality: Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and supplier quality programs to ensure all external partners meet rigorous technical and regulatory standards.
Product Development & Commercialization Alignment: Partner closely with engineering and product development teams to ensure product decisions support long-term manufacturability, scalability, reliability, and cost targets. Identify potential operational, manufacturing, and supply chain risks early in the development lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to support new product introduction (NPI) planning and commercialization readiness efforts
Logistics & Inventory Management: Oversee all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. You are responsible for inventory accuracy and ensuring a seamless flow of materials to the production floor.
Business & Project Operations: Manage the Bill of Materials and track project costs (material EACs). You will work closely with Finance to ensure our build and delivery schedules align with company budgets and milestones.
Lab Ownership: Responsible for the physical workspace, including lab management, and critical operational support like parts cleaning.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with Engineering on component integration; with Manufacturing on DFx and reliability; and with Business Development to align operational capacity with our growth roadmap.
