Are you a dynamic hospitality leader ready to make an impact at one of Kansas City's premier luxury lifestyle hotels?

The Fontaine is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to oversee daily hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences across all departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who excels at building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding financial and guest satisfaction results.

As Director of Operations, you will play a critical role in leading hotel operations, partnering with department leaders, and ensuring seamless execution across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other operational areas. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for service excellence and a proven ability to inspire teams while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.
What You'll Do

Provide leadership and oversight for the hotel's day-to-day operations
Drive guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service standards throughout the property
Partner with department leaders to achieve operational, financial, and service excellence goals
Monitor and improve operational efficiencies while maintaining luxury service standards
Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and team members
Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and local regulations
Collaborate with the Executive Team on strategic initiatives, budgeting, and performance goals
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent hospitality leadership experience
Minimum of 4 years of rooms management experience in a full-service hotel or resort environment
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to manage multiple departments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational performance
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with guests, team members, and ownership groups
Strong time management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
