Primary Function:
The primary function of this position is to maintain the operational needs of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as they relate to capital improvement projects, facility matters for each SAO location, and work with the Director of Purchasing on related matters.
Working Environment: Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: The position requires the ability to stand, or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve driving periodically.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review the supply/equipment requisitions that are received from the various offices.
- Oversee all services repairs at all SAO locations
- Work with Cook County agencies on SAO Capital Improvement Projects and Equipment Improvement Projects
- Work with partner agencies regarding office space upgrades/improvements
- Maintain information/contracts on all vendors used by the State’s Attorney’s Office.
- Ensure the SAO is in compliance with the regulations and ordinances of the Office of Procurement for Cook County.
- Ensure the SAO is in compliance with grant regulations.
- Work with the Director of Purchasing to prepare contracts and Board Transmittals for approval by the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
- Manage Supervisor of the File Room and oversee the Warehouse located at 23rd & Rockwell
- Manage the Fleet Unit Operations
- Serve as the liaison between SAO and the Office of the Building/Facilities for each of the SAO office locations.
- Maintain CC Time information for the staff assigned to the unit
- Evaluate staff assigned to the Fleet Unit
- Cross train staff within the department to ensure a consistent workflow in the unit.
- Regular access to confidential information
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Oracle, Cook County Prodagio Database, and Cook County Marketplace System
